It was never my goal to become a therapist. Originally, I wanted to be a practicing lawyer but quickly came to realize that it was too "black and white" for me. I felt that I wouldn't be able to sit with people the way I felt they truly deserved. Because of this, I felt that therapy and becoming a therapist called me.
I obtained my Masters of Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and a Bachelors of Science from Towson University.
I have years of experience as a social worker and therapist in various settings including inpatient and outpatient mental and physical health settings. Through these experiences, I have learned the power of relational work.
I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is very key. I also understand the importance of having a therapist that you feel you can relate to. As a Black therapist, it's important for me to be there for my BlPOC and LGBT communities.
I'm a lifelong sports fan so when I'm not working, you can find me watching or playing sports. I love the Olympics. I love music and I love spending time with my family.
I would be honored to start this growth journey with you. If you're interested, please contact me for a 15-minute free consultation.
